A deputy with the Nye County Sheriff's Office was injured when he was struck by a vehicle while responding to a report of a vehicle fire.
It happened in Tonopah. The deputy was transported by air to University Medical Center in serious condition.
Sgt. Duane Downing is currently in serious but stable condition.
