Number of kids in foster care increasing nationwide and in Nevada

The number of kids in foster care is on the rise in the United States. A new report from the government says one big reason is the opioid epidemic.

The biggest increases were in Indiana, Georgia and West Virginia. 

Here in Nevada, there were nearly 300 more kids in foster care in 2016 than in 2015.
