NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — North Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal high-speed crash Wednesday afternoon.
Officers said a Ford Mustang was traveling over 80 mph when it struck a Toyota truck at the intersection of Azure Avenue and Statz Street just before 3:30 p.m.

The Mustang then hit a light pole, and a 23-year-old passenger was ejected from the vehicle and died at the scene.
NLV police said the driver of the truck was in their 50s and the 21-year-old Mustang driver were both treated for non-life threatening injuries.
Travel restrictions were in place at the scene of the collision for the investigation.
Authorities said the crash occurred where there is a 25 mph speed limit.
