NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — "Let them play" was the message Wednesday morning from North Las Vegas City officials to the Clark County School District.
They want the district to restart youth sports, saying local kids are missing out on opportunities to earn scholarships and interact with their peers.
Councilwoman Pamela Goynes-Brown was on hand for the announcement as was North Las Vegas police chief Pamela Ojeda.
Clark County Supt. Jesus Jara previously said kids in classrooms are the priority but also said Wednesday that spring sports can return on April 3.
