LAS VEGAS (AP) — Prosecutors say a 28-year-old convicted felon from North Dakota will face at least five years in federal prison after pleading guilty in Las Vegas to drug and weapon charges stemming from a traffic stop in Nevada.
Brandon Patton, of Minot, North Dakota, pleaded guilty Tuesday in U.S. District Court to possession with intent to distribute marijuana and two firearms charges.
Federal public defenders representing Patton didn't immediately respond Wednesday to messages.
Authorities say Nevada Highway Patrol troopers found Patton had methamphetamine, heroin, marijuana and two handguns while he was a passenger in a vehicle stopped in May 2019.
He is scheduled for sentencing in June.
