NORTH LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A woman is dead after she was hit by two SUVs while walking on Interstate 15 near Lamb Boulevard in North Las Vegas late Saturday night, according to Nevada Highway Patrol.
NHP says they do not know why the woman was on the interstate outside of a vehicle at the time of the crash.
Troopers say, around 11:15 p.m. an SUV was traveling southbound on I-15, south of Lamb, when it hit her in the travel lane. Then, authorities say a second SUV hit the woman after that initial crash.
The woman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The drivers of both vehicles stayed on scene and are cooperating with investigators, NHP says.
Investigators say they do not believe impairment was a factor.
This investigation is ongoing.
