A Nevada Highway Patrol trooper was involved in a multi-vehicle crash on Friday.
It was reported around 1:51 p.m. near Russell and Wynn Roads.
Investigators say an NHP trooper was traveling west on Russell approaching Wynn. A Jeep Grand Cherokee reportedly pulled out of a private drive-way in front of the trooper.
The trooper allegedly tried to swerve, but ended up hitting the Jeep. The crash caused the NHP vehicle to skid, which resulted in another crash with a semi-truck.
The trooper's car was then hit by another vehicle. The trooper was taken to Spring Valley Hospital as a precaution. There is no information on any injuries.
There are several road closures in the area. Drivers should take alternate routes.
