Las Vegas police say that a man in his 50's was jaywalking near East Tropicana Avenue and South Nellis Boulevard when he was struck by a vehicle traveling westbound on Tropicana. The man was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition. The driver of the vehicle that hit him stayed on scene after the accident.
Police say the barricade situation in the 2100 block of Castleberry has concluded. The suspect was not captured. Officials say there will still be police activity in the area as detectives will be conducting a follow-up investigation.

Las Vegas police are investigating a barricade situation in the 2100 block of Castleberry Lane, near Lake Mead Boulevard and Nellis Boulevard.
This is an ongoing situation.
Clark County Fire Department responded to a fire at 3214 La Canada Street, near Desert Inn Road and Maryland Parkway.
Upon arrival, personnel reported large amounts of smoke and flame coming from the back of a two-story apartment complex. The apartment building appeared to be empty and had no gas to the structure. Crews knocked the fire down in ten minutes. No injuries were reported.
A female suspect stabbed another woman with a pair of scissors near the north end of the Bellagio. The victim had minor injuries and the suspect was taken into custody by police.
A male was stabbed by two suspects near Las Vegas Boulevard and Serene Avenue. It is believed that the stabbing was part of an attempted robbery.
The victim was transported to the hospital in stable condition.
