10 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide that occurred at East Karen Avenue and Sherwood Street shortly after 8 p.m. Police say they responded to the area after reports of hearing gunfire were called in. They found a man with at least one gunshot wound laying on the sidewalk. The victim was transported to Sunrise Trauma where he later died. Homicide detectives are investigating the shooting.
3:23 P.M.
The American Red Cross is assisting twelve adults and eight children after an apartment fire near Flamingo Road and Maryland Parkway. The 2-alarm fire happened around 12:57 p.m. Sunday, and was knocked down at 1:34 p.m. Eight total apartments were affected and two people were injured.

12:24 P.M.
Las Vegas police say that patrol cars have been told to provide "a visible presence" in areas surrounding local churches in response to the mass shooting at a church near San Antonio this morning. Officials clarify that there has not been a local threat.
