The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:33 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide near East Reno Ave and Spencer Street at an apartment complex located at 1751 Reno Ave. Police say a male in his 40s was fighting with his teenage daughter, when the mother separated the two. The mother, in her 40s, and the father went to a bedroom when a gunshot was heard. Police are investigating the cause of the gunshot at this time.

UPDATE 11:48 A.M
Nevada Highway Patrol says the motorcycle rider who died in this morning's crash was a 70-year-old man from Las Vegas. His identity and cause of death will be released by the coroner's office.

Motorcyclist hit, killed by car on Durango over 215

10:20 A.M.
Lake Mead says Willow Beach is currently full and at capacity limits.

UPDATE 10:09 A.M.

Nevada Highway Patrol says a three-wheel motorcycle drove a through red light traveling eastbound on Durango shortly before 9 a.m. when it crashed into a car crossing the 215. The rider was pronounced dead on the scene. Authorities say it does not appear that impairment or speed were factors in this crash. This crash remains under investigation.


UPDATE 9:25 A.M.
Nevada Highway Patrol confirms at least one person has died following a crash involving a car and a motorcycle on South Durango Drive over the 215. Road closures remain in effect.

8:46 A.M.

UPDATE (5/27/28): The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased rider as 70-year-old Peter Vajtai from Henderson. Blunt force injuries was the cause of death and it has been ruled an accident.

The eastbound off-ramp on 215 at Durango Drive is closed while Nevada Highway Patrol investigates a crash in the area, and the Regional Transportation Commission reports the intersection is closed in both directions. Avoid the area.
