The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6 P.M.
NV Energy is reporting a power outage that is affecting about 17,000 customers in the northeast Las Vegas valley. The main outages appear to be from Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue to Nellis and Lake Mead boulevards.

The power company is reporting damaged equipment for the outage with an estimated time to be restored from 7:15 p.m. to 8:15 p.m.

1:20 P.M.
NV Energy reports a power outage in the 89129 ZIP code impacting around 1500 customers. Damage to equipment is listed as the cause and the estimated time of restoration is 3:15 p.m. For updates visit nvenergy.com.

7 A.M.
Las Vegas firefighters say eastbound Vegas Drive is closed near Buffalo Drive after a crash. One person was transported to the hospital. No word on their condition at this time.

OVERNIGHT
Police say homicide detectives responded to a call shortly before 1 a.m. near the railroad track near Bonneville Avenue and Main Street in downtown Las Vegas. No other information was immediately available. Check back for updates.
