LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

4:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a stabbing that occurred on an RTC bus near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road. Officers report a woman stabbed two people at that location who suffered non-life threatening injuries. The female suspect was taken into custody at the scene.

The RTC released the following statement:

The incident on an RTC vehicle yesterday near Sahara Avenue and Paradise Road is disheartening. The safety and security of our transit riders, contractors and staff is our utmost priority. We are cooperating fully with Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department on the ongoing investigation and any further inquiries about the incident itself should be directed to Metro.

2:20 P.M.
Police say one person was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries after being shot. Officers are unsure where the shooting took place but they found the person on Maryland Parkway near Torpicana after receiving a call just after 12 p.m.

12:56 P.M.
Police say a body was found in the desert area of Lake Mead. Officers received a call that there was a vehicle with a broken window on East Lake Mead Boulevard, about 7 miles east of Los Feliz Street, just after 10:50 a.m. The body was found in the trunk. The Clark County coroner identified the deceased as 71-year-old Thomas Kirk Burchard from Salinas, California. Cause of death was blunt force injury to the head. INTERACTIVE MAP.

UPDATE 12:18 P.M.: All lanes on US-93 are now open in both directions near Veteran's Memorial Parkway after a deadly crash in Boulder City this morning. READ MORE

10:55 A.M.
One person is dead after a crash near Eastern Avenue and Viking Road just before 10:55 a.m. Police say the person was found unconscious at the scene and then transported to the hospital but did not survive. Officials believe the person may have suffered from a a medical episode.

UPDATE 9 A.M.:
Police say one person is dead after a 2 car crash in Boulder City. The highway is closed until further notice. This happened just after 7:30 a.m. on Boulder City Parkway between Yucca and Veteran's Memorial Parkway, in front of the Arco Rebel Gas Station.

8:36 A.M.
There's a crash on Airport Connector Northbound after Sunset Road in the tunnel. Right lane is blocked. Expect delays.

8:06 A.M.
The US-93 is closed in both directions near Veterans Memorial and Yucca in Boulder City. Traffic is being diverted. Expect delays.

UPDATE 7:40 A.M.:
Police say one person is in custody and another was brought to the hospital after an incident near Alexander Road and Buffalo Drive this morning. Officers received a call around 6:20 a.m. that someone was shot at a home in the area. Police are investigating and say there are no threats to the community.

6:53 A.M.
There is a crash on US-95 south near Cheyenne Avenue. Left lanes are blocked causing slow moving traffic. Expect delays.

6:40 A.M.
Chopper 13 is above Alexander Road and Buffalo Drive in the north west part of the valley where there is a large police presence. There is limited information at this time but stay tuned for updates. We have a crew on the way.
