Las Vegas police say evacuations are in place in the area of an active barricade situation near Washington Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard.

2:20 P.M.
Las Vegas police say there is an active barricade situation near Washington Avenue and Rainbow Boulevard.

Washington Avenue is closed from Rainbow Boulevard to Buttonwood Lane (east of Rainbow) as officers attempt to make contact with a person believed by police to have committed a robbery. Check back for updates.

1:47 P.M.

UPDATE (03/26/20)

The Clark County Coroner has identified the woman as 37-year-old Christine Moore from Las Vegas.

Las Vegas police say a female motorcyclist is dead after hitting a palm tree near Tenaya Way and Robindale Road.

7 A.M.
Clark County Fire Department responded to 3400 South Jones (S. Jones Boulevard near Desert Inn RoD) for reported water flow signals. Upon arrival, crews reported smoke coming from the roof of a single-story strip mall. A small fire was found in the back kitchen and the fire was knocked down around 17 minutes later. The cause of the fire has not been determined, and damages have not been estimated. Utilities are assisting crews on scene. No reports of injuries.
