The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:23 P.M.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is asking for the public's help finding Jean Carter. Police say she might possibly be in severe emotional distress and in need of medical assistance.

Carter was last seen today around 1 p.m. near the 3600 block of Cambridge Street, not far from the Boulevard Mall. She was last seen wearing a red and black top, dark pants, and a purple scarf.

All hospitals are asked to check their registries for the missing person and notify the police immediately. It should be noted that HIPAA permits disclosure upon request by law enforcement and is authorized pursuant to 45 C.F.R. section 164.512.

Crash on Interstate 15 near Sahara Avenue in the southbound lanes is causing traffic delays.
