The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:22 P.M.
UPDATE JAN. 20: The Clark County Coroner has identified the woman as 33-year-old Arisha Rendell from Las Vegas. Her cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries and it was ruled an accident.

Police in North Las Vegas are investigating a deadly crash between an SUV and a sedan near East Craig Road and North Bruce Street, which happened shortly before 7:30 p.m. All directions of travel are closed on Craig and Bruce while police investigate.

Police say the front passenger of the sedan died on the scene. Neither impairment nor speed are believed to be factored in the crash.

8:12 p.m.
UPDATE JAN. 26: A man has been arrested for the stabbing of Jose Salamanca. Read more.

UPDATE JAN. 19: The Clark County Coroner has identified the deceased man as 54-year-old Jose Salamanca. Salamanca's death was due to multiple stab wounds to his back and it was ruled a homicide.

LVMPD officers responded to the area of East Sahara and Eastern Avenues for a report of an unresponsive male laying on the sidewalk. Arriving officers say they located a male who appeared to be suffering from a stab injury. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital where he was later pronounced dead. LVMPD Homicide Section says the male was seen near a bus stop before he was stabbed.

3:17 P.M.
Crews responded a fire on Howard Avenue, near St. Louis Street and Eastern Avenue, shortly before 3 p.m. The fire is knocked down and no injuries were reported, authorities say.

7 A.M.
Crash on Cheyenne Avenue at 5th Street, westbound lanes closed at Losee, use other routes, expect delays.
