LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:20 P.M.
A motorcyclist is dead after crash with a vehicle on East Lake Mead Boulevard near Belmont. Road closures are in effect.

7:30 P.M.
A Henderson man was injured during a recreational vehicle fire at the Triple K Trailer Court on King Street. The fire started in the bathroom of the RV and the man attempted to put it out with a pot of water. The cause of the fire was ruled accidental. The man was treated for smoke inhalation on scene and then transported for treatment.

4:15 P.M.
An aircraft was forced to make an emergency landing in a dry lake bed southwest of Jean airport. The plan landed safely and no injuries have been reported. Clark County Fire Department and Nevada Highway Patrol are on the scene. The plane was a single-engine Diamond DA-40, according to the FAA. The FAA will investigate per standard procedure.

2:31 P.M.
Police say a male was shot in the 3500 block of Swenson Street. He was transported to hospital for treatment. No one has been arrested.

7:50 A.M.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police watch commander and officials with the Federal Aviation Administration report that a hot air balloon with fifteen people on board was forced to make an emergency landing on the 10100 block of Terrastone Drive, near West Maule Avenue and South Hualapai Way. There were no injuries or damages reported. The FAA is investigating the circumstances that forced the balloon to land.
