LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:54 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says a squatter cooking steak started a small fire in a vacant house at 1913 S. 11th St. near St. Louis Avenue. One person treated and released minor smoke inhalation.

9:40 A.M. UPDATE
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue says the fire was able to be extinguished at 1300 E. Bridger Ave. The flames were mostly in the attic and the roof with the cause under investigation but squatters were using the building. No injuries reported. READ MORE.

8:30 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue responded to a fire at 1300 E. Bridger Ave. at a vacant Catholic school. The fire required a 2-Alarm response.
