The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6:08 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a fatal crash near East Desert Inn and Cabana Drive. The crash involved a 2017 Chevrolet Silverado, 2004 Nissan Maxima and 2015 Dodge Challenger. Police say the Nissan, driven by an elderly man, hit the Challenger and Chevrolet.

The coroner identified the deceased on Dec. 23 as 86-year-old Fernando Benliro of Las Vegas. Cause of death was multiple blunt-force injuries. His death was ruled accidental.

The other two drivers, ages 19 and 28, received minor injuries.

5 P.M.
Las Vegas police have reported a road closure in the area of the Tropicana Avenue and Arville Street due to a fire which has been contained. Please avoid the area.

1:02 P.M.
Police say a motorcyclist is dead after colliding with an SUV at the intersection of East Warm Springs Road and Tamarus Street. Witness say a 2011 Doge Nitro was making a turn when the motorcycle hit the Nitro at a high rate of speed. The motorcyclist was pronounced dead on the scene. The coroner has identified the motorcyclist as 25-year-old Landon Shelton of Las Vegas. Cause of death was multiple blunt-force injuries. His death was ruled an accident.

12:45 P.M.
UPDATE: Police state the shooting at the Walmart parking lot at 3075 E. Tropicana Ave. was an isolated road rage incident. One person is in custody and another person has been transported to a local hospital.

11:15 A.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting at a Walmart parking lot at 3075 E. Tropicana Ave. Officers responded to a reported altercation that turned into a person getting shot in the leg. A person is in custody, according to authorities, but the scene remains active for the investigation.
