The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

12:09 P.M.
Henderson Police are on the scene of a crash in the area of North Stephanie Street and West Sunset Road. Speed is believed to be a factor. One person was transported to a hospital. Expect traffic delays as northbound and southbound North Stephanie Street is closed north of West Sunset Road. Please avoid the area as the scene is still active.

11:38 A.M.
UPDATE DEC. 14: The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 35-year-old Marcus Koch from North Las Vegas. Koch's death was due to multiple blunt force trauma and his death was ruled an accident.

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is investigating a deadly collision between a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Sahara Avenue and Monte Cristo Way. Police say a red Honda made a U-turn at the intersection before the motorcycle crashed into it. The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at UMC Trauma. An investigation is ongoing.

10 A.M.
Nevada Highway Patrol is on the scene of a serious crash near U.S. 95 and Mile Marker 38 (State Route 165 and Nelson Road). Road closures are in place. READ MORE

UPDATE 6:30 A.M.
Las Vegas police say the barricade at Treasure Island hotel-casino is over. A man was found inside a room with a self-inflicted gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead on the scene.

UPDATE 5:30 A.M.
Fashion Show Drive has reopened. Police are trying to make contact with someone barricade on the Las Vegas Strip near Treasure Island hotel-casino.

4:30 A.M.
JAN. 8 UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner has identified the man as 31-year-old Abulfata Meka Shafi. Shafi's death was due to a gunshot wound to the head and it was ruled a suicide.

Las Vegas police are on the scene of a barricade at Treasure Island hotel-casino on the Las Vegas Strip. Police say they got a call around 12:30 a.m. about shots fired from a room. Right now there are no injuries to report. Fashion Show Drive is shut down between the Trump Tower and Fashion Show Mall, use alternate routes.
