The following is a round-up of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 8/25/20:
The Clark County Coroner has identified the victim of the shooting as 59-year-old Sean Carroll of Las Vegas. His cause of death was gunshot wounds and it his death has been ruled a homicide.

UPDATE:
LVMPD responded to the scene of a homicide at the Riviera Mobile Home Community near Boulder Highway and Sahara Avenue. About 6 p.m. police received a call that a man had been shot multiple times inside his trailer. When officers arrived, they found a man in his late 50's that had been shot and killed inside the home. Police say a female neighbor has been arrested in connection to the shooting.

6:37 P.M.
LVMPD is investigating a homicide near Fremont Street and East Sahara Avenue. No more information is available at this time.

4:27 P.M.
LVMPD officers responded to reported gunshots in the area of N. Nellis and Las Vegas Boulevards and found a male juvenile suffering from multiple gunshot wounds on the sidewalk north of the intersection. He was transported to UMC Trauma and has been pronounced deceased. No suspect(s) are in custody at this time. READ MORE

Las Vegas police investigating a homicide

2:50 P.M.
Henderson firefighters rescued a woman hiking in the Lake Las Vegas area this afternoon and transported her to the hospital for extreme dehydration.

2:40 P.M.
The RTC reports a 10-mile backup on the Interstate 15 southbound towards California. Expect delays and drive carefully. The National Weather Service warns of a storm in the area. READ MORE

11 A.M.
Crews are investigating a shed fire on Jackson Avenue, near Owens Avenue and the US-95. The cause is unknown at this time. No injuries to report.

10:49 A.M.
Crews are investigating a mattress fire on Cinderella Lane, near Sahara Avenue and Valley View Boulevard. Las Vegas Fire and Rescue says there was no damage to the home and no injuries to report.

9:30 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire and Rescue reports a car crashed into a taco shop on E. Charleston Boulevard near Maryland Parkway. Authorities say the driver refused medical and there were no other injuries.
