The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

9:02 P.M.
A police officer was involved in a car crash near 21st Street and Owens Avenue shortly after 8 p.m., according to Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Roads will be closed for another hour or so in the area as police investigate.

The officer is being transported to UMC with minor injuries, according to officials. The other driver also has minor injuries.

8:10 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responded a house fire at 824 N. 20th Street this morning. When they arrived, there was smoke and fire coming from the home. Fire crews had the fire under control in about 10 minutes. 5 people were displaced. No one was injured in the fire.

8 A.M.
Las Vegas police are on the scene of a crash involving 2 motorcycles near East Sunset Road and McLeod Drive. Both motorcyclists were transported. The westbound lanes of Sunset are closed. Driver stayed on scene and impairment is not believed to be a factor at this time.
