The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

2:10 P.M.
Around 3,000 customers in the Las Vegas valley are without power right now according to NV Energy. For updates on power outages in the valley click here.

1:18 P.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue on scene of house fire at 1501 Banner Circle near Arville Street and Oakey Boulevard. 4 or 5 palm trees also on fire. Cause unknown at this time but may have been caused by lightning.

11:21 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue is on the scene of a 2-alarm fire at a one-story house at 1630 E. Ogden Ave. LVFR says the house was fully involved upon arrival. The fire was declared a knockdown at 11:50 a.m. One person is being checked for smoke inhalation.

9:58 A.M.
One person is in custody and classes are canceled at St. Viator Catholic School near Eastern Avenue and Flamingo Road after a potential threat was made early this morning, according to Las Vegas police. There are no children in the school currently and officers are not looking for anyone else at this time. READ MORE
