Breaking news for September 23, 2017

11:56 A.M.

Fire dispatchers received multiple 9-1-1 calls that flames and smoke were coming out the window of a condo unit at the Marquesa Condos on 7300 Pirates Cove Road, near Buffalo Drive and Summerlin Parkway.  Firefighters found heavy flames coming from the window of a downstairs condo in a two-story building when they arrived, and the flames were spreading to the condo unit above.

One person was treated by fire paramedics on scene and there were no other injuries reported at that time.  

The American Red Cross is assisting eleven displaced people.

11:36 A.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a suspicious death in the 5000 block of Tioga Pass Avenue. The call came in at 11:36 a.m. as a man who had shot himself. The coroner saw something at the scene that prompted a response from homicide detectives. The death is now under investigation.

3:08 A.M.

A fatal crash occurred at the intersection of Spring Mountain Road and Polaris Avenue. Witnesses say a 2006 Dodge Charger was traveling west on Spring Mountain Road when it was hit by a 2014 Ford Fiesta traveling south on Polaris Avenue.

The driver and passenger of the Ford were pronounced dead at the scene and driver of the Dodge was transported to the hospital. That driver was then booked on suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol. READ MORE.
