6:26 P.M.
North Las Vegas Police arrested Stephen Gayles for the death of a 10-month-old male that occurred last December. A warrant was issued for Gayles after the investigation showed he was the last one with the child. He was arrested near Hacienda Avenue and Durango Drive.
UPDATE ON MAY 5: The coroner has identified the child as Maliq Simmons of North Las Vegas.
5:50 P.M.
Flamingo Road has since reopened after a pedestrian was hit on a sidewalk by one of two vehicles involved in a crash near Palos Verdes Street. The pedestrian, identified as 59-year-old Jack Jordan, remains in critical condition.
5:45 P.M.
Update: The suspect has been taken into custody around 6:30 P.M.
Municipal court marshals were the ones serving a warrant when the man went on the roof near Jones Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road.

5:19 P.M.
Las Vegas firefighters battled a vacant apartment fire at 534 South Eleventh Street around 3:12 p.m. The fire happened in the bedroom and caused $20,000 in damage. Investigators said it appears that squatters have been using the building for shelter.
5:10 P.M.
Police are assisting Las Vegas city marshals with apprehending a man on a roof near Jones Boulevard and Lone Mountain Road. It's unknown why he is wanted.
4:50 P.M.
Firefighters responded to a house fire near Eastern and Washington Avenue at 10:32 a.m. The fire gutted the kitchen and caused smoke damage throughout the structure. Two adults and two children are displaced.
11:23 A.M.
LVMPD is reporting an incident involving multiple vehicles and a pedestrian on East Flamingo Road near Palo Verde Street. The pedestrian has been transported to Sunrise Hospital. Lanes on Flamingo Road are closed in both directions.

The Las Vegas Fire Department is reporting a shed fire at 1404 Arthur Avenue.

10:50 A.M.
A fire was put out in the Stratosphere hotel-casino bathroom. Las Vegas Fire & Rescue says that a security agent put fire out with fire extinguisher. Toilet paper, toilet seat covers and a dispenser were burned. Approximately $50 in damage.

9:16 A.M.
Another fire was reported at the townhomes on Greenbriar Way at 9:15 a.m. Clark County Fire Department says that deep-seated embers from the fire earlier today caused the second fire. The fire was knocked down at 9:38 a.m. No injuries reported in 2nd fire.

A crash on the 215 near Eastern Avenue has caused major lane closures. We will update you as the traffic clears.
6:56 A.M.
A Las Vegas police officer has been involved in a crash near Rancho and Vegas Drive. The officer was transported to a local hospital. Motorists should avoid the area.

Two bodies found near Lone Mountain Road and Rancho Drive. Police say this may be the result of a murder-suicide. The deceased were later identified as 54-year-old Jason Charles Robertson and 52-year-old Jodeane Robertson. Jason Robertson's official cause of death is suicide and Jodeane's cause of death is homicide.
1:50 A.M.
At least townhomes were damaged by a fire on Greenbriar Townhouse Way bear Boulder Station shortly before 2 a.m. 6 people were displaced. 1 adult sent to hospital with 70 percent burns and 1 person treated at scene for smoke inhalation. Several oxygen tanks exploded during the fire.
