LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas casino owner and developer Derek Stevens will introduce Circa Sports - a new sportsbook venture that will debut in Downtown Las Vegas this year.

Thursday, the Nevada Gaming Commission unanimously approved Stevens’ Circa Sports license as he plans to launch his new sportsbook inside the Golden Gate hotel-casino on June 1.

“It’s no secret that I’m an avid sports bettor – I’m taking everything I’ve learned and everything I love and bringing it all to Circa Sports to create the best possible experience for our guests,” Stevens said.

This new sportsbook will be directed by Matt Metcalf, from the Westgate’s SuperBook, and is expected to feature one of the most competitive wagering menus in town while being a leader for sports futures.

“There is truly no casino operator who understands sports betting quite like Derek Stevens," Metcalf said.

Following the Golden Gate launch, Circa Sports is then scheduled to add a satellite program at the D Las Vegas in late June 2019.

Plus, another planned expansion at the new Circa resort-casino that will include a multi-level, stadium-style sportsbook set to debut in December 2020.
