The Summerlin area now has its own police substation.
There was a ribbon cutting ceremony on Wednesday morning.
Capt. Sasha Larkin and Sheriff Lombardo were at the event. Larkin will be in command of the new substation.
Summerlin residents say they are happy about the new substation.
It is located just west of the 215 beltway between Summerlin Parkway and Far Hills Avenue.
