LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Wednesday, Nevada Sen. Catherine Cortez Masto celebrated the first full week of in-person learning by visiting her old elementary school.
She visited Doris Hancock Elementary School and highlighted the efforts it took to keep schools safe during the pandemic.
I still remember all of my teachers from my time at Doris Hancock Elementary School. It’s great to be back here to welcome students back to in-person instruction and to see how the district is working to keep our students safe. pic.twitter.com/fdzOJxRJ4S— Senator Cortez Masto (@SenCortezMasto) April 7, 2021
Part of the effort was getting $92 million in funding for COVID-19 testing in schools.
