Nevada Highway Patrol continues Boulder Highway hit-and-run investigation

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Nevada Highway Patrol is continuing its investigation into a hit-and-run crash on Boulder Highway from Thursday evening.

Las Vegas police and Nevada Highway Patrol were called to the crash scene at about 8:30 p.m. at the intersection of Desert Inn Road and Boulder Highway.

Preliminary reports from NHP show a mid-2000's dark red or maroon colored sport utility vehicle striking a female pedestrian who was crossing the street outside of a marked crosswalk on Boulder Highway.

The woman was hit with the left front portion of the vehicle, according to authorities, with the SUV leaving the scene northbound on Boulder Highway.

Troopers said the pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital with critical injuries but was stable.
