LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Nevada Department of Employment, Rehabilitation and Training says that it expects to be able to pay the final pandemic assistance benefit of $600 next week.

DETR previously blamed a system error for the missing benefit.

On Tuesday, they said that the issue would be resolved on Wednesday, but did not say when it would begin sending out payments.

Multiple claimants have contacted 13 Action News about the missing payment.

On Thursday, DETR sent the following in response to an inquiry about when people would receive the final payment of $600.

This was their response:

We continue to work in attending the system issue and monitoring our site while addressing the claims impacted by the recently announced system error. Claims will be updated in groups resulting in payments being issued next week. Claimants are not required to take any action.

DETR did not say specifically when they will be sending the missing money to those who are eligible.

DETR usually holds a press conference on 10 a.m. Fridays to update the public about unemployment benefits. Check back then for a livestream.
