LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The census only comes around once every decade and the count is very important in deciding how federal funds will be used in Nevada.
The process of counting people in the valley could also be an opportunity to earn some extra money.
The Census Bureau is hiring people to join their team. They're offering several temporary positions, including census takers and the pay starts off at $18 an hour.

They will be hosting job fairs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday.
