LAS VEGAS (AP) — An agreement between Uber and regional transportation officials will allow riders in Nevada to purchase bus tickets through the ride-hailing service.
The Regional Transportation Commission of Southern Nevada announced the partnership with Uber in what officials say is an attempt to streamline public transportation in Las Vegas.
Officials say area riders will be able to find bus service information and buy the tickets using payment information saved in the Uber app.
Customers can also compare prices and routes between Uber car services and local bus service.
But ticket prices will be the same through Uber and the commission's existing app.
