More than 42 million people visited Las Vegas in 2015, according to the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.

That number breaks last year's record of 41.1 million.

Factors contributing to the record number include several new non-stop flights and more convention business.

The official count for 2015 won't be available until early 2016.

Tourism generates more than $50 billion annually for Southern Nevada and supports more than 360,000 local jobs.
