UPDATE DEC. 6: The Clark County Coroner has determined that 45-year-old comedian Ralphie May died on Oct. 6 from Hypertensive Cardiovascular Disease. It has been deemed a natural death.
ORIGINAL STORY: Ralphie May, a comedian who rose to fame on the reality show Last Comic Standing, died Friday morning of cardiac arrest. He was 45 years old.
Both TMZ and The Hollywood Reporter say that May was battling pneumonia this week but continued to perform scheduled shows in Las Vegas. May was found at a private residence in Las Vegas.
After breaking out on Last Comic Standing, May toured consistently and released seven stand-up albums.
