New pictures have been released showing Steven Avery with his family. The photo, taken over the weekend, comes as a new website goes live and details of the convicted murderer new legal representation comes to light.

The website also contains a statement from the family. “We went to Steven yesterday (Saturday) & he has confirmed that he is letting Kathleen Zellner take his case," the statement reads. "He wants to thank all the supporters out there & for all the letters he has been receiving."

The website, called AVERYDASSEY FUND bills itself as a defense and investigation fund site that follows the Netflix documentary 'Making a Murderer'.

Kim Ducat says her cousin Steven is in good spirits.

“Overwhelmed over the outpour of support he's getting."

She says she's excited over Steven’s new attorney Kathleen Zellner.

“The attorney must see something that he's innocent."

Meanwhile Governor Walker is taking to social media today in response to the documentary fallout.

He tweeted “viewers of Netflix series on Steven Avery should read unanimous court of appeals opinion b4 jumping to conclusions.”

He confirmed on Friday he will not pardon Avery.

“Steven Avery was convicted by a jury of his peers he then appealed it to a Court of Appeals and ultimately the appeal was taken to the Wisconsin Supreme Court and at each level they upheld the conviction," says Walker.

He says people are ignoring major portions of evidence.
