ORIGINAL STORY

A motorcyclist has died in a Las Vegas crash Tuesday evening.

The crash involving a motorcycle and three other vehicles, including a tow truck, was reported around 5 p.m. near Flamingo Road and Eucalyptus Avenue, which is just west of McLeod Drive.

According to police, the motorcycle was traveling east on Flamingo Road at a high rate of speed in a marked bus lane when it struck a Honda CR-V coming out of a private driveway. The crash then sent both vehicles into the center median where the Honda motorcycle flipped over and struck a Dodge Avenger that was traveling west on Flamingo.

Debris from the second crash struck a tow truck that was also traveling west on Flamingo Road.

Police said the deceased rider is a 36-year-old man. The Clark County coroner will release his identity.

An occupant of the Honda CR-V was transported to Sunrise Trauma with serious injuries. No injuries were reported regarding the drivers of the Dodge and the tow truck.

Flamingo Road was closed for nearly six hours following the crash.

This was the 29th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police's jurisdiction in 2017.
