UPDATE
We're learning more from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) about a fatal crash that happened on East Cheyenne Avenue and Lincoln Road this morning.

Around 6:29 p.m., LVMPD responded to a collision in the area. Through scene evidence, surveillance videos, and witness statements, police determined that the crash happened when a Freightliner Propane Truck turned left as a Triumph Street Triple RS motorcycle entered the intersection. The motorcycle overturned, and the Freightliner "came to a controlled stop," police said.
Emergency medical personnel declared that the motorcycle rider was "beyond resuscitation and ceased life-saving efforts." Their death is the 44th traffic-related fatality in LVMPD's jurisdiction in 2026.

According to LVMPD, the Freighliner's driver stayed at the scene, and did not show signs of impairment. This incident is still under investigation.

One person is dead after a crash involving a motorcycle in the east valley.
It happened around 6:30 a.m. at Cheyenne and Lincoln, just west of the intersection with Lamb, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
The crash involved a truck as well, and the motorcyclist was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
