UPDATE: 13 Action News has learned that the motorcyclist died from his injuries around 7:30 p.m. Friday. He was identified as 71-year-old Nicholas Thomas of Henderson.

HENDERSON (KTNV) -- A motorcyclist is in critical condition after a crash on Friday.
It happened around 3:47 p.m. on northbound Stephanie, south of Russell Roads.
Investigators say the rider failed to negotiate a curve and hit a wall. He was transported to Sunrise Hospital with life-threatening injuries.The rider is a male in his 70s.
The preliminary investigation determined that speed and alcohol impairment are considered factors in the crash.
Northbound Stephanie was closed at Patrick for about three hours while an investigation took place.
