UPDATE ON FEB. 15: The Clark County coroner has identified the motorcyclist who was killed on Tuesday afternoon as 45-year-old Carolyn Easterwood of Las Vegas. The official cause of death has not yet been determined.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A motorcyclist has died in a crash Tuesday afternoon.
The crash was reported around 4:20 p.m. in the 2500 block of Valley Street, near Charleston Boulevard and Eastern Avenue.
Police said the 45-year-old woman appeared to lose control of the motorcycle while turning in a curve in the roadway. The bike went down and slid into a cinderblock wall, which had already sustained damage from previous crashes. There was also a warning sign with flashing yellow lights warning of the curve near where the crash occurred.
The motorcyclist was transported via ambulance to UMC Trauma with critical injuries. She later succumbed to her injuries.

This was the 18th traffic-related fatality in Las Vegas police's jurisdiction in 2017.
