One person on a motorcycle was injured in a hit-and-run accident Saturday evening in the east valley.
The accident happened around 6:15 p.m. near East Sahara Ave and South Sloan Lane. The motorcyclist was thrown from the motorcycle into a ditch below street level and the suspect left the scene. The victim is in surgery and police are waiting for an update on their condition.
Sahara is closed from Nellis to Sloan while police investigate.
