A motorcyclist is in extremely critical condition after a crash on Friday evening near Tropicana Avenue and Jones Boulevard.
The crash was reported at 8:17 p.m. Police said a Chevrolet Camaro was going westbound on Tropicana Avenue and stopped in the left turn lane to southbound Jones Boulevard. The Camaro then changed lanes into the left westbound lane on Tropicana Avenue where it then hit a Honda motorcycle going in the same direction.
The motorcycle fell over on its side and ejected the motorcyclist, identified as 54-year-old Chun-Hung Wong of Las Vegas. The motorcyclist then hit the rear of the Camaro.
Wong was taken to UMC Trauma with life-threatening injuries.
The driver of the Camaro stayed on scene and cooperated with police. Neither the Camaro driver nor his passenger, both from Tennessee, were injured.
The crash remains under investigation.
