UPDATE: Las Vegas police were notified Monday the 62-year-old motorcyclist involved in last Wednesday's crash has died. He had originally been reported in stable condition.
His identity will be released by the Clark County coroner.
This is the 18th traffic-related fatality in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department jurisdiction in 2016.
A Las Vegas road was closed for hours early Wednesday morning while police investigated a crash between a motorcycle and car.
The crash occurred around 1:30 a.m. on Durango Drive, approaching Alta Drive. Police said a woman driving a Ford south of Durango turned left in front of a motorcyclist. The motorcyclist then collided into the Ford and the motorcyclist was ejected.
The motorcyclist was transported to the hospital where he is in stable condition.
Police said impairment is not suspected.
Durango Drive was closed until about 5 a.m.
A crash shuts down part of Durango near Alta. Police are out investigating now. I'm trying to get more information.
