UPDATE: The Clark County Coroner identified the motorcycle rider as 23-year-old Drake Reynolds from Las Vegas.

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) -- A motorcycle rider has died in a crash early Saturday morning.
Las Vegas Metro Police says the crash happened at 12:54 a.m on Owens Avenue east of Eastern Avenue.
Witness statements and evidence at the scene indicate a 2007 Kawasaki ZX600 Motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Owens Avenue.
For unknown reasons east of the intersection, the motorcycle overturned onto its side which caused the rider to contact the roadway surface.
Witnesses who observed the Kawasaki before the collision said the rider was speeding and riding wheelies.
The rider was transported to UMC Trauma Center with lifethreatening injuries.
Despite medical intervention, the rider succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.
