A valley man is under arrest, charged with sex trafficking after a dramatic swat raid at a home on Sandstone Drive near Nellis Boulevard and Charleston Boulevard.

Police accused Carl Blackman, 33, of kidnapping and sexually trafficking a 19-year-old woman.

Natalie Toon, Blackman’s mother, spoke only with 13 Action News as she fought back her tears.

“I was in shock. Why are they raiding my house? I was afraid. My little grandkids were afraid," Toon said. "They lied to me, and they lied to my son. This is crazy. I don't understand."

Toon said her son was innocent, adding, “He's no pimp. It's all a lie."

Toon said her son met the woman on Facebook and that the woman drove from Arizona to visit her him at Toon's home.

Blackman was living temporarily at the home with his mother along with his adult brother and sister as well as a young niece and nephew.

Neighbors like Stephanie Gorsuch are not sure what to make of the charges. But she's troubled by the impact the commotion could have on the children.

"It's disturbing to me that the kids were around that, especially the little boy," she said.

Blackman is charged with sex trafficking, kidnapping, and sexual assault.

Police said the victim is no longer in the house.
