UPDATE NOV. 21: The Clark County coroner has identified the woman found in the home on Woodsworth Avenue as 69-year-old Toni Peterson of Las Vegas. Her cause of death is still pending. The other person has not been officially identified.
A mystery is unfolding in a quiet neighborhood after two people were found dead inside their home on Woodsworth Avenue near Rainbow and Smoke Ranch.
Hours later we still don't know exactly what happened inside the walls of the home, but neighbors tell 13 Actions News they were shocked to hear the news.
They said the couple who lived in the home were both in their 60s and did not get out much after the husband recently had a stroke.
Sources tell 13 Action News that a friend decided to come over and check on them after they hadn't heard from the husband in awhile.
They discovered the bodies and called police. Police tell us there was no visible cause of death and the bodies had apparently been there for awhile.
A neighbor who told us the woman who lived there had been caring for her husband after his stroke made sure their pets were picked up by animal control officers.
Homicide detectives are not investigating the deaths at this time.
