UPDATE 9:16 A.M.: A North Las Vegas judge says bail will remain at $1 million for Amy Fleming, the woman accused by North Las Vegas police of murder in the 1986 disappearance of her 3-year-old son.
LAS VEGAS (KTNV) - In just a few hours we could learn more about what led police to charge a mother with murder more than 30 years after her son disappeared in North Las Vegas.
Amy Fleming is due in court Feb. 28. Her lawyer, Nicholas Wooldridge, is expected to ask a judge to reduce her $1 million bail.
60-year-old Amy Fleming was arrested in Florida on Jan. 29, 33 years after 3-year-old Francillon “Yo-Yo” Pierre supposedly disappeared at a swap meet in North Las Vegas.
At the time, she and the boy’s stepfather claimed the boy disappeared from Broad Acres Swap Meet on Aug. 2, 1986. The couple said that the boy had "slipped away."
North Las Vegas police say it was an attempt at identity theft from overseas that renewed their interest the case.
