MGM Resorts International CEO: Events at Capitol 'abhorrent'

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Bill Hornbuckle, the CEO of MGM Resorts International, said the events at the Capitol this week were 'abhorrent' in a statement shared by the company on Friday.

Hornbuckle went on to say the riots "go against everything we stand for as a country" and "violence is never the answer."

The MGM Resorts tweet comes on a day that Twitter has permanently suspended President Donald Trump's account.

Previously, five people died following violent protests at the U.S. Capitol Building on Jan. 6.
