SECOND UPDATE:

Family members identify the woman fatally stabbed as 19 year-old Chelsey Lagle.

"I miss her so much already," said Glynis Lagle. "She inspired me, I'm so proud to have been her mother."

The teen's body was found Tuesday in her apartment.  Her boyfriend, Skyler Fowler, has been arrested.

"What he actually physically did to her is disgusting," said Lagle.

Lagle's parents say they've forgiven their daughter's accused killer, but they still want him to go to prison.

"We both came to love him like a son," said Lagle.

Chelsey's dad believes Fowler may have been under the influence of drugs during the violent attack.

Police have not confirmed those details.

"Something happened that night," said David Lagle.

The 19-year-old worked two jobs. She supported herself and had just purchased a new car.

"We were always together, couldn't really separate us," said brother Sean Lagle.

Sean says he suspected his sister was in an abusive relationship.

"She was always denying it," he said.

The family is speaking out now to encourage other young women to leave abusive relationships.

"Don't take a chance with your life," said Lagle's mom.

Their beautiful daughter will be remembered for who she was, not how she died.

"Very accepting of people no matter who you were, what you did," said Lagle.

They have a GoFundMeaccount to help raise money for her funeral.

UPDATE: The suspect has been identified as 26-year-old Skyler Fowler. Police arrested Fowler in connection with the homicide of the female. Fowler was initially transported to the Sunrise Trauma Center where he received treatment for injuries believed to have been sustained during the homicide.

He was then transported to the Clark County Detention Center where he faces one count of open murder with a deadly weapon.

Neighbors told 13 Action News that the woman was fatally stabbed by her boyfriend and her mutilated body left in the bathtub.

A vigil for the woman was growing outside the apartment where the stabbing occurred.
