LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Mayor Carolyn Goodman is sharing the latest steps in her battle against breast cancer.
Goodman went public with her diagnosis back in January, announcing that she had Stage 2A cancer in her right breast. She said she is "completely healthy" and can continue to work effectively as the mayor during treatment.

On Wednesday, Mayor Goodman told 13 Action News she's been going through the stages of Chemo therapy for the past several months and recently had surgery to remove the cancer remaining.
Goodman says she owes her progress to the incredible doctors helping her through this journey.
