Mayor Carolyn Goodman, 79, is planning to run for a third term as mayor of Las Vegas.
Oscar Goodman, who is Carolyn Goodman's husband and former mayor, broke the news during one of his special dinners at Oscar's Steakhouse, according to the Las Vegas Review-Journal.
A representative for the mayor confirmed her plans for 13 Action News. A formal announcement has not been made.
Oscar Goodman, who once represented some of the biggest mobsters in Las Vegas history, served 3 terms before his wife. He was first elected in 1999 and served until 2011.
Candidates must file between Jan. 22 and Feb. 1, 2019. The primary election is being held April 2 and the general election will take place June 11.
