July 1 marks the launch of recreational marijuana retail sales in Nevada and quite a few dispensaries are celebrating.
The dispensary is hosting a Cannabis Celebration and Community Jam from 4 to 10 p.m. Local artists and cannabis companies will also be on deck with live artistic demonstrations, a dance battle, tons of giveaways and more.
The Apothecary Shoppe
The Apothecary will celebrate legalization at midnight with a special food truck, Fukuburger, free T-shirts, DJ Special K and other surprises. The celebration will continue at 8 a.m.
Beginning 12:01 a.m., Las Vegas residents and tourists, 21 years or older, can legally purchase cannabis products from the Essence-Strip and Essence-West locations. First-time customer discounts will be available.
At midnight, Euphoria will kick-off its "Free Marijuana for a Year" promotion. With any purchase, customers will be entered into a drawing to win a free Summa Cannabis 1/8 ounces per week for a year. The first 100 customers also get a free gram of Summa Cannabis with purchase.
Doors will open at midnight for the first recreational marijuana sales at its Las Vegas location. On July 1, customers can enjoy a DJ and vendors in celebration of recreational marijuana sales.

Former Mayor Oscar Goodman will be at the disepnsary to purchase recreational marijuana at midnight.
Oasis Medical Cannabis
Oasis Medical Cannabis celebrates the switch from medical only sales to medical and recreational sales starting at midnight. Show up an hour early at 11 p.m. June 30 with a late-night kickoff, including a food truck (Mr. Cooker), a DJ, body painting, giveaways, a raffle and more.
NuLeaf's Las Vegas location is celebrating with a midnight ribbon cutting ceremony and "End of Prohibition" party to ring in recreational cannabis sales. The event starts at 11 p.m. June 30 through 3 a.m. July 1 with sales to continue throughout Saturday. More details on the Facebook event page .
The event will include a rooftop firework show at the stroke of midnight on July 1, plus live DJs, food trucks, and event sponsor booths from local cannabis vendors Cannabiotix, Las Vegas Cannabis, Evergreen Organix, Dixie, CannaPunch, Redwood and CWN/incrEdibles on both days. Nevada state Sen. Tick Segerblom will be the first to legally purchase recreational cannabis at midnight at Reef. There will be a celebration from 11 p.m. June 30 to 3 a.m. July 1 and again from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. July 1.
Shango Premium Cannabis
Shango will open for recreational marijuana sales tonight at 12:01 a.m. at its 4380 Boulder Highway/Desert Inn Road location. Shango has a 20 percent discount off all sales, is handing out VIP gift bags to the first 50 customers in line tonight, and is serving refreshments and other giveaways throughout the day.
The dispensary's Rainbow Boulevard location will celebrate the first day of legal retail sales with Nevada State Sen. Tick Segerblom as the first person in line when doors open at 9 a.m., at which time he will be able to purchase his namesake strain, Segerblom Haze. The+Source will host members of the community and will offer a 10 percent discount on all medical cannabis sales to honor the day. The dispensary will also host local food trucks, Grumpy John’s Coffee, Señor Blues and Treasure Iceland, along with a DJ performance.
Top Notch THC
At 11:30 p.m. June 30, Top Notch will celebrate the end of marijuana prohibition in Nevada at midnight July 1 with food trucks and music. People can also join later on July 1 when it reopens at 10 a.m.
